We are Building a Future for Washington's Business Community and its Employees

Formed in 2006, the Business Institute of Washington has a promising future as an educational resource for private sector employers and employees. As a recognized 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation, the Business Institute is an independent, autonomous and not affiliated with any political party or candidate. The Business Institute can assist a company and its employees to learn more about how our elected officials establish good public policy. Through this education, the community can have a stronger understanding of the significant role our lawmakers play in establishing laws that govern our state.

Click here to follow the money in 2008 Gubernatorial Race and Legislative District The The 2008 Legislative Business Stars Luncheon succeeded in raising awareness of our legislator's role is creating a good business climate in Washington state. Held on April 15th, the event was well attended by private sector citizens, public affairs professionals and lawmakers from across the state.

Senator Derek Kilmer, Representative Mike Armstrong and Senator Curtis King were all on hand to receive their honors as 2008 Business Stars. The House Democrat honoree, Representative Deborah Eddy was not able to attend, but her colleague Representative Judy Clibborn was on hand to graciously accept her award.
